1979 to 1990 -Founded and operated McLester Winery, BWC4982, growing from 600 cases to 2,000 cases. Sold winery to Frank and Cyndee Donato in 1990. Retained by the Donatoas their Winemaker.
1990 to Present- Winemaker for Antelope Valley Winery, Lancaster, CA
The Job
Cecilextensive background in the winery business is being put to good use. He is a hands on Winemaker and does the total Winemaking job. Cecil has Allen Quinton as his Assistant Winemaker and Kyle Arnote as his Winemaker Asssistant. These three,lead by Cecil, are our Winemaking Team.Cecil has also assembled anA TEAM of able winery helpers who assist with the Crush, and at bottling time.
Cecil passion is producing fine Wines from grapes grown in our own Antelope Valley Vineyards. His key Vineyard partner is Efren Chavez who supplies the majority of the grapes crushed at Antelope Valley Winery. Efren is a long time Grower of Premium Winery grapes and together Efren and Cecil are a great wine growing and producing team.
